About Carol
Carol Hogan is enjoying the best years of her life and loves helping others do the same. She worked 30 years in the health care industry—including 20 years supervising a laboratory for the University of California at San Francisco General Hospital.
When she retired from health care in 1998, she worked part time as a financial consultant, and discovered during her consulting and in her own life that traditional retirement planning doesn’t focus enough on the social and emotional aspects of retirement.
So she did something about it! She studied and worked with other trainers and created Best Years Workshops to address those missing pieces. Retirement isn’t about not working; it’s about living, and living a happy and fulfilled life.
And Carol is. She’s living in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills, and when she’s not leading workshops, you can find her bicycle riding, cross-country skiing, in-line skating, cooking, traveling, playing golf, tap dancing or volunteering at the Angels Camp Farmers' Market.
Some of Carol’s credentials:
- MBA, Golden Gate University, San Francisco
- BS Biology, College of St. Francis, IL
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist
- Lecturer for San Francisco General Hospital’s Laboratory Continuing Education Program
- Quality Improvement Task Force Facilitator
